Establishment of 2 Medifood subsidieries – MediFood UK Ltd. and MediFood South Africa Ltd. 
Entering the German market through Midas Healthcare under the brand LaVieCal

2022

Introducing MediDrink Gastro for gastroenterology patients (Crohn’s disease’s, ulcerative colitis) and MediDrink RC, developed for the nutritional needs of diabetic patients. 

Product launch in Malta with NM Pharma, in Bangladesh with ZAS Corporations and in Albania with ILMA Farma.

2021

Launching our surgery line MediDrink PeriOp for perioperative use and MediDrink OpLoad, our pre-operative nutritional product. Introducing MediDrink CF developed for cystic fibrosis patients. 

Entering the Vietnamese market with our local partner, Naman Ltd.

2020

Introducing MediDrink Neo designed for oncology patients and MediDrink Extra, our value-added general malnutrition product.

Launching MediDrink products in Georgia with our local distribution partner, MedLine and, in Greece with Pelmy Plus Medica.

2020 – 2022

Improvement of the Csorna manufacturing site.

2019

New product launch of MediDrink Pulmo, addressing  to the COPD patients. 

Entering the Romanian FSMP market in collaboration with Torus Pharma and launching MediDrink in China with our strategic partner, Jilin MaiFu Nutrition Technology Co.

2018

Medifood’s unique Research & Development Centre site starts its operations in Szeged, Hungary.

2017

Launching MediDrink Platinum –
MediDrink Platinum was designed for the dietary management of malnutrition in the elderly.

Signing a strategic partnership agreement with Jilin MaiFu Nutrition Technology Co., Ltd. for the territory of Greater China. Start of collaboration with Indevex AB (Sweden).

2017 –

Development of MediDrink condition-specific clinical nutrition products
Initiation of developing condition-specific clinical nutrition products of Medifood, addressing patients with different disease-related malnutrition conditions. Developing products for the treatment of further disease-related malnutrition and cachexia conditions due to such as cancer, pulmonary disease, gastrointestinal disease, kidney disease, liver disease, surgery, and also for paediatric indications.

2016

Upgrading the manufacturing site in Csorna
Start procurement process of the new process equipment, partially funded by the Hungarian government, in order to enhance the capacity and improve the quality of the manufacturing site in Csorna.

2015

Launching MediDrink in our first export market, Slovakia with Rubenza Pharma.

2014

Start of geographical expansion by seeking and identifying partners for international sales.

2013

Our rapid entry to the Hungarian market resulted in cumulative sales of 1 million EUR in Y2, which is 16% market share in Hungary..

2011

Obtaining the first European notification of MediDrink Plus with reimbursement and launching the product in Hungary.

2010

Establishing Medifood’s Hungarian affiliate and signing manufacturing contract with Sole-Mizo Zrt. (member of the Bonafarm Holding) for the production of Medifood’s MediDrink portfolio in Csorna, Hungary.

2009 – 2011

Development of MediDrink Plus, the first product of the company for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition. Development was based on a “condition-specific” concept.

2008

Foundation of Medifood
Estabilishing of Medifood International in Switzerland by two experts from the pharmaceutical and the nutritional industry.
