Medifood is a medical nutrition company offering condition-specific nutritional products for people affected by disease-related malnutrition.

Medifood has developed an innovative product portfolio to help patients fight disease, regain their strength and recover more quickly.

Medifood GmbH, a private Swiss equity, was founded in 2008 by Gellért Cseh MD. and László Szentesi, two industry experts from different sectors. Gellért is a senior pharma expert and medical doctor. By their know-hows the company has successfully penetrated the medical nutrition market, which combines features of both the food and pharmaceutical industry, but which still stands independently.

Medifood was founded with the purpose of developing research-based, innovative clinical nutrition products. Using state-of-the-art technology Medifood produces high-quality „Foods for Special Medical Purposes” (FSMP). These are specially formulated medical foods that are processed and intended for the dietary management of diseases, disorders or medical conditions of individuals treated under medical supervision.

These first steps were successful and MediDrink porducts were well received. Medifood currently has export contracts with 16 foreign partners, including European, Asian, Far Eastern and African countries.

Condition-specific clinical nutritional products were presented on the Arab Health Congress in 2017, svereal congresses of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN), and on the Dubai International Nutrition Conference in 2019.
